Pretty cool that they were having AAA baseball games at Dwyer. I read that Frontier Field in Rochester had its largest crowd ever for the day that Petit pitched.

On another note, I’m going to a trade show in Philly in 2 weeks. Just bought tickets to Phillies vs. Nationals. Keeping my fingers crossed that Strausburg is pitching against Cole Hamels, and someone plunks Bryce Harper and starts a bench clearing brawl.

It’s a non-MLB affiliated summer collegiate league in the upper midwest, designed to give college ball players a minor league experience without surrendering their eligibility. It’s baseball like the minor leagues used to be before MLB started taking over. I recommend catching a game this summer if you get a chance.
