The 2010 Season kicks off tonight when 20 Prospect Jr. and his mates take to the field against the hated Astros. 20 Prospect Jr. became a free agent after winning the championship with the Red Sox last season. He’s playing for the Cubs this year. (This being Little League, we aren’t required to disclose the salary and singing bonus.)
As it does at the start of every season, “hope springs eternal”. By tomorrow morning we will have a much better idea of how the Cubs are going to withstand the pressure packed crucible that is the Fridley Junior Minor League.
The infield is looking pretty talented this year. I’m thinking we’ve got a chance to turn a few double plays.
And that kid with three fingers looks like a heck of a pitcher…
For my part I can hardly wait for the game to start now that the harassment, and assault charges were dropped. No restraining order is going to keep me away tonight!
